The base shader HLSL snippets I adapted these from for SweetFX are mostly from freely available examples I found around the net for the DK1. I'm very new to writing shaders in general so as such there are probably mistakes which could be tidied up but regardless everything is working fine anyway. The thing I instantly missed was the lens and aspect ratio correction, not to mention chromatic aberration correction so I decided to try and create a better experience for myself using some custom SweetFX shaders.

I'll try when I get home. After several weeks of playing various PC titles with my Google Cardboard VR setup (LG G3 phone + Zeiss VR ONE HMD) mostly with vireio perception and thoroughly enjoying it I decided to try some other non vireio perception supported games such as DX10/11 titles some of which have native SBS (such as Elite Dangerous) and some of which require TriDef. Is that a known problem or am I missing anything?ĮDIT: Could it be that one has to use the right (not left) screen? Found something like that in the Rift thread. I always had to move the pointer quite a bit to the left of the actual position of the button if I could find right position at all. One more question: During my first tests, I had the problem that the buttons and switches in the cockpit were difficult to click with the mouse. Once you do, there is no way back and eventually you will go for a Vive/Rift. So a big "warning" to those who try this. Also I guess "serious" missions might be a little difficult in terms of spotting enemies in the distance and so on. is not quite good enough to play for more than 20-30 minutes. Thanks for sharing the idea sniperwolfpk5

I was really surprised how the cockpits look like.

Looking around in the cockpit is just stunning. I only had little time to test it with DCS but from my first impressions I can only say WOW! This one extra dimension adds so much that's phenomenal. Yes, moonlight was working pretty much out-of-the-box. You can check my sig for hardware and other stuff I used. I wish I have the money to buy a powerful PC and one of the VR set.

My Up to date and Recommended Software and Setup You can set High frame rate in xDisplay agent but it is not the best but better than others. xDisplay has better frame rates compared to others. I thank you SkateZilla for directing me for the stereo option in DCS World. Go to options and select stereo from monitor dropdown.

I have android based smartphone with 1440p screen resolutions. If you don't have TrackIR then try opentrack or FreeTrackNoIR. There are tons of on ebay, Aliexpress and other sites. OK what you need to use Google VR with DCS. I can imagine what would be the experience in Oculus and Vive. Flying in a huey and going down from high altitude you will feel it that I am going down. You will feel the heights, the depth of world. The experience is very nice if you are trying for the first time. You will see a glimpse of VR with google cardboard.
